What are the system requirements for Screensavers.com screensavers and wallpaper?
Our screensavers and wallpaper are compatible with personal computers running Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT and XP. We regret that we don't have screensavers or wallpaper for Mac users at this time.

What is the difference between "Download Regular" and "Download Hi-Quality"?
Screensavers.com offers most wallpapers, and some screensavers, in two screen resolutions: Regular (800x600) and Hi-Quality (1024x768). The Hi-Quality version of a screensaver or wallpaper delivers sharper image quality on larger computer monitors. Please note that Hi-Quality screensavers and wallpapers have file sizes that are larger than Regular versions.
If you download the Regular version of a screensaver or wallpaper, but wish to view it on a monitor with a high-resolution setting, your computer will automatically re-size the screensaver or wallpaper to properly fit.

What do "Virus-Checked" and "Spyware-Checked" mean?
At Screensavers.com, we want to provide our users with a safe environment for downloading and installing screensavers and wallpaper. As an added service, every screensaver and wallpaper on our site is scanned for known viruses and spyware, and then signed with a "digital signature" to make sure that those screensaver and wallpaper files aren't tampered with once we scan them. We recommend that you also use virus and spyware scanning services on your computer in order to provide the most effective overall protection.

To view and change your wallpapers:

Go to 'Settings' (in Start Button) -> 'Control Panel' -> 'Display' and then click the 'Background' tab.

Your new wallpaper will display as the current Background in the drop-down menu and will show in the Preview screen.

  •  Stretch - Best as default. All of the wallpapers on Screensavers.com will display best in this mode.
  •  Tile - Good if you have a smaller pattern you'd like to repeat across the entire screen
